What is this medication used for?
It is used for the treatment of cold sores.
Who should not take DENAVIR®?
- Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using Denavir® if you
are taking other drugs.
- Talk with your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Patients
younger than 18 years old.
How do I take my DENAVIR®?
Gently apply to the cold sore until evenly distributed as soon as you
begin to feel tingling or swelling. It is most effective if used within
one hour of noticing signs of an oncoming cold sores.
What are the side effects of DENAVIR®?
The most common side effects are burning or itching. Contact your doctor
or pharmacist if these occur or if you begin to feel different after using
Denavir®.
Other important information:
- Wash your hands immediately after using the medication.
- Keep the container closed, stored at room temperature, and away from
excess heat and moisture.
- Avoid getting Denavir® in the eyes. If you miss a dose, apply
it as soon as you realize it. If it almost time for the next dose, skip
