WHAT IS THIS MEDICATION USED FOR?
It is used generally used for the nausea and vomiting associated with motion sickness.
WHO SHOULD NOT USE TRANSDERM-SCOP�?
- Anyone who has kidney disease, liver disease, enlarged prostate, difficulty urinating, bladder problems, or glaucoma without first talking with your doctor
- Anyone who may have emotional or mood disorders without first talking to your doctor
- Anyone who may be pregnant, or breast feeding
without first talking with your doctor
HOW DO I USE MY TRANSDERM-SCOP�?
Apply your patch to dry hairless skin behind the ear. Apply the patch 4 hours before travel
WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OF TRANSDERM-SCOP�?
The most common side effects include drowsiness, dry mouth or nose, restlessness, insomnia, blurred
vision, dizziness, decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, difficulty urinating or an irregular
heartbeat. If you have one of these side effects, they may decrease or go away after you continue
using the patch, but you should contact your doctor or pharmacist if you are having any of the side
effects or if you are feeling different after applying the patch.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Limit the amount of alcohol while the patch is applied
- Do not drive or use or operate hazardous equipment while the patch is applied because of the possible side effects
- If you miss a dose, apply as soon as you remember it. If it's almost time for your next dose, skip the dose missed. Do not apply a double dose to catch up
- Keep the patch as dry as possible while wearing it. If it should fall off, apply a new patch
- Do not share your patches with others. Keep away from children and thro away any patches after the expiration date.
- Contact your doctor, pharmacist, or seek
emergency medical attention if you begin to have difficulty breathing,
closing of your throat, hives, or swelling of lips and/or tongue and/or
face.
